HOMEOWNERS
Always be sure that the builder or remodeled that you
hire is a member of a professional trade association.

and the National Association of Home
Builders.
You should only hire a company that you trust to work on
your home or business. After all, it is your money that
is being spent. Ask your prospective contractor to
supply you with references from previous clients.
Take the time to check the references before signing the
contract. Check with the local building commissioner,
the Chamber of Commerce, and trade organizations to
determine how previous complaints have been handled. The
important issue is not that complaints have been made,
but how they were settled. Remember that by law you have
a three-day right to cancel the contract after you sign
it.
