R.E. Construction was established in 1991 to provide quality, professional service to our customers throughout East Central Indiana. Our pledge is to provide this service in a timely manner. We will continue to obtain the relevant training to keep our people at the top of the construction industry in order to provide the most up to date information and service to you, our customer. R.E. Construction continues to receive training that has resulted in many accomplishments, including the Certified Graduate Builder, Graduate Master Builder, Certified Graduate Remodeler, and Certified Aging in Place Specialist designations from the National Association of Home Builders.

In addition, we recently completed training and received certification as a HUD approved renovation and remodeling contractor. This certification and training qualifies us to work on homes built before 1978 that may contain lead-based paint. We are fully trained and qualified to complete your remodeling job on these homes and still maintain a safe living environment for your family.

R.E. Construction makes every effort to build and remodel in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. In our effort to keep your home clean and family safe, we use dust control measures including the installation of dust doors to protect your home. This results in a cleaner and safer job site. We supply our customers with energy efficient construction techniques and products.

R.E. Construction is an ENERGY STAR partner with HERS rating, registered and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency. We build our new homes to a FIVE STAR level using as many environmentally friendly products as possible. We also build ANSI 700 Green Projects as well.  The result is that your home is certified to be energy efficient by an agency of the federal government. ENERGY STAR homes are built to be 30% more energy efficient than homes just built to model energy code specifications, thereby saving you money on your heating and cooling bills. Also, ENERGY STAR homes will help to reduce carbon emissions and will have a higher resale value than the standard home.

R.E. Construction carries a full line of insurance for your protection. Included in this insurance is worker’s compensation and liability insurance. We are licensed in the areas in which we work and we comply with all licensing laws and building codes.

Meet The Owner . . .

Stephen L. Robinson is a Certified Graduate Builder, Graduate Master Builder, Graduate Master Remodeler, Certified Graduate Remodeler, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Green Professional, and has completed certification as a "Certified Aging in Place Specialist." Stephen is a former state representative for the Indiana Builders Association (IBA), and in 2001 was named "REMODELER OF THE YEAR" by the IBA.  In June of 2007, he was named National Remodeler of the Month.

Stephen is a past president of the Henry County Builders Association and serves as its PAC Chairman. He is also on the Board of Directors of both the (IBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Stephen was named NAHB's "National Representative of the Year" for 2002. Stephen sits on the executive committee for IBA, and in 2003 he was appointed to NAHB's Executive Board of Directors, Research Committee, and made a trustee of the Remodeler's Council. Robinson is involved in his community as a member of the New Castle Breakfast Optimists and as a trustee of the Greensboro Friends Church.
